from Young Bulgarian Artists

History, idea, purpose

The group "Young Bulgarian Artists" is created to support talented artists at the beginning of their way and to show what they have created as graduate students in the National Academy of Art and immediately after their graduation. The platform will follow their development, because we are confident in their undeniable talent and we hope that they will be accepted and appreciated by audiences at home and abroad.

In 2015 by the idea and courtesy of the Mr. Todor Staykov began a selection of artists from the specialties "Painting" and "Sculpture". Jury composed: acad. Svetlin Rusev, prof. Valentin Starchev, prof. Desislava Mincheva, prof. Stanislav Pamukchiev, prof. Emil Popov, prof. Vihroni Popnedelev and prof. Angel Stanev determined several graduating students, whose works are distinguished by great artistry, professionalism and creative charge.

For the selected young colleagues is organized an annual plein-air at the "Vihroni" Art Center in Dolno Kamartsi and subsequently their works are displayed in the metropolitan gallery.

The efforts of Mr. Todor Staykov and the entire team are all aimed to support and popularize the art of the contemporary artists of Bulgaria. We are convinced that this is one of the ways to protect ours spiritual culture.
